XPS LAPTOP SCAMS

The scammers are up to the same trick again. Beware of the sellers with multiple listings with extremely low prices. They all ask you to email them before you bid. Also pay attention to the email address. If you look at the seller name they are all different for all the auctions with the same email address. You should ask yourself why does a supposed seller with one email address have so many seller names!! It is a scam that is why!!!! They will tell you to wire some money b/c paypal charges too many fees to sellers or they want the money faster. If you have any questions about what countries paypal works in please go to the paypal website. I am writing this review to warn buyers of laptops. I was scammed out of 1000.00 from a seller in China who claimed that China is not a paypal country. I paid for the item using Western Union. After I paid the seller then came back and said I had to pay an additional 300 dollars in tariff fees. I finally went to the paypal website and found out that China is a paypal country. At one point there were multiple listings from people in China especially on the the Dell Laptop XPS models everyday. At one point there were no less than 18-40 listings a day, by various people. My guess is that it was probably the same seller using different seller names, or perhaps it was a ring of scam sellers. There are also some sellers in the US, and Europe who are pulling the same scam. Under no circumstances should you pay for any big ticket item like a laptop with Western Union or Money Gram. I wouldn't even recommend paying with a cashier's check. Only use paypal. That is the only way you can guarantee that your transaction will be refunded if you have the misfortune of buying from a con artist seller. I am still angry about losing 1,000 dollars (US) and if I can help anyone avoid the same type of incident then this guide is well worth the time I took to type it. Buyers beware. A rule of thumb is if it sounds to go to be true (especially on a 3000-4000 dollar computer(, it probably is a scam. Good luck to all the legit buyers and sellers.
