The purpose of this guide is to help you avoid getting stuck with a guitar that is less then you expected.

Because once you buy a guitar on ebay the only way to return it is to pay shipping back to the seller.

Usally around $30.00 and you also loose the shipping and handling you paid to the seller. So if you make

a mistake or get a bad deal you automaticly loose atleast $60.00 in just returing it. So i am going to list a

few steps to follow.

1) the first thing you should do before bidding is pick a style and type of guitar. (eltric,Acoustic,Body shape)

2) then it would be a very good idea to research a few brands there are many sites on the web such as Harmony central wear you can get feedback about guitars from people that own them.

3) next do a search on ebay for the models you are most interested in. find sellers(make certain to check there feedback only buy from the best) save a handfull to your favorites.

4) now spend a few day's watching there auctions so you can get a good idea on what you should expect to pay for the make and model(s) you have chosen.

5) only now should you start to bid or buy it now. Consider not only purchase price but shipping and handling. also what is the return policy . and alway's pay for insurance as this type of item has a better then avarge chance of either damage or theft.
