The Best Makeup PrimersMany reviews and guides available on ebay are written by sellers trying to sell their brands. I wanted to write a series of unbiased guides to makeup to help you as the consumer. To help your makeup last through out the day, and to even out your
complexion, I reccomend using a primer before applying your makeup.
There are a number of great primers out there on the market. Most
contain silicone, which is a great ingredient to smooth out your skin,
and help your makeup go on flawlessly. Primer's should be applied after cleansing and moisturizing your face but before you apply your foundation and other makeup. Some primers that I like are Smashbox Photo Finish Primer, Laura Geller Spackle and Sheer Cover Base Perfector. If you don't want to spend a lot of money on your primer, a makeup artist's secret, is to use Monistat Soothing Care Chafing Relief Gel as
a primer. It is less than $10 dollars and can be found in your local
drugstore, and is silicone based like most other more expensive brands. Another great primer, is the Model's Prefer AquaVit Perfect Prep Brush-On Face Primer, what I like about this primer is a makeup brush is attached to the primer, which makes application a snap. Another great product is a cross between a primer and a foundation, it is Perfect Skin Perfection Gel, this expensive potion will give you two products in one, and a great finish but it is pricey and hard to find.If you can't get your eye makeup to last all day you may want to try an eye primer. Eye primers even out the color and texture of your eye lid's. Both Paula Dorf and Laura Geller make excellent Eye Primers.Best All-Around Primer: Smashbox Photo Finish PrimerBest Primer Application System: Model's Prefer AquaVit Perfect Prep Brush-On Face PrimerBest Bargain Primer: Monistat Soothing Care Chafing Relief GelBest Eye Primer: Paula Dorf Eye Primer
